Thailand Diving Sites
Koh Rok
Koh Rok, 25 kilometres south of Koh Ha are two sister-islands - Koh Rok Nok and Koh Rok Nai - separated by a narrow channel about 15 metres deep. The islands lie within the protective boundaries of the Mu Koh Lanta National Marine Park.
These islands have some of the prettiest beaches seen when diving in Thailand and are devoid of inhabitants.
The diving here is relatively shallow on middle water coral reefs. The bottom is composed of mostly hard sheet, table and staghorn corals, with small areas of soft marigold corals in the depths and overhangs.
Black Tip sharks patrol the reef shallows and are especially active at dusk and dawn. There are frequent sightings of hawksbill turtles at the islands.
