Ian was so much nicer than I expected, I really loved how easy it was getting used to breathing underwater through my mouth for long periods of time. The most difficult part was staying neutrally buoyant but it became much easier after time.
The dive sites on the second day had clearer water. Until yesterday, lionfish had been a myth for me, seeing one made my day. Lets hope the picture isn't unbearable! |

Great experience! Good pool and skill sessions. Instructor was skilled, patient and knowledgable. Despite unfavourable weather conditions, course and skills were completed. Experienced slight initial issue with ear equalisation. Overcame without a problem.
Visited dive sites around Racha Yai and Racha Noi. Saw many types of colourful fish, corals, eels, snakes, octopus and much much more. Good course structure and adequate safety importance. Looking forward to the next level with PADI! |

Enjoyed the swimming pool, the sea world and the colourful fish in Phuket. At the beginning had diffuculty equalising the ears but it got better after the first dive.

The forewarning about the prior coral damage at Racha Yai via tide / heat was appreciated. Gusto of seeking mantis shrimp was a plus. 20m + vis and excellent temperature. No rays or sharks but got to see an octopus, elsewhere standard marine life for this environment. Attentiveness to triggerfish was a plus!
Not too many signals/directions so I got to enjoy it at my own pace. Appreciated efforts to stay clear of other divers despite congestion. |
